Standards and Procedures for Licensure

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this rule development is to implement changes for private post-secondary institutions licensed by the Commission for Independent Education as a result of legislative changes found in HB 1537 (Ch. 2023-39, Sections 10-14, Laws of Florida). Under consideration are multiple changes to licensure standards, including accreditation, admissions requirements, enhanced disclosures, additional plans, and reporting requirements.
