PURPOSE:

The purpose of the proposed amendments to these rules is to remove outdated references; allow for paperless offices and electronic records; modernize the process for licensees to update their contact information with the Department; repeal processes that are no longer used; clarify how bail bond agents comply with the telemarketing laws of Florida; and update the rules and forms.

SUBJECT:

The rulemaking addresses regulation for limited surety agents, professional bail bond agents, and bail bond agencies in Florida.
