RULE:

6A-4.01791

Specialization Requirements for the Gifted Endorsement

PURPOSE:

To update the requirements for a gifted endorsement to emphasize instruction on the nature and needs of gifted students.

SUMMARY:

The Bureau of Educator Certification issues a gifted endorsement, which requires a bachelor’s or higher degree with certification in an academic class coverage and fifteen semester hours in gifted education. School districts may issue a gifted endorsement if they have an approved program.
