RULE:

68A-15.004

General Regulations Relating to Wildlife Management Areas

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the proposed rule amendment is to revise regulations related to take of non-native birds on Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs). The effect of the proposed amendment will be to remove protections currently prohibiting take of non-native birds on WMAs.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule amendment would allow take of non-protected birds, such as collared doves and Egyptian goose, during established area seasons, with no bag or size limit, using methods of take as allowed by season.

Additionally, the proposed rule amendment would provide non-substantive technical changes, such as grammatical corrections, language standardization, or clarification of an existing rule.
