RULE:

64B27-1.001	Dental Laboratory Inspections, and Practice and Procedure for Healthy and Safe Dental Laboratory Operation
64B27-1.002	Dental Laboratory Biennial Registration
64B27-1.003	Continuing Education Requirements

PURPOSE:

To clarify maintenance requirements for electronic dental appliance prescriptions; to update the dental laboratory renewal registration form to comply with recently enacted legislation; and, to provide for acceptance of certification as a Dental Laboratory Technician as demonstration of compliance with continuing education requirements for owners and designated employees of dental laboratories.  To provide the process and form for conducting a biennial survey of the physician assistant workforce pursuant to recently enacted legislation.

SUMMARY:

The rule amendment clarifies prescription maintenance requirements, updates the registration renewal application and accepts certain certifications as demonstration of compliance with continuing education requirements for dental laboratory owners and designated employees.
