RULE:

65C-28.015

Residential Mental Health Treatment

PURPOSE:

The Department intends to amend Rule 65C-28.015, F.A.C, Residential Mental Health Treatment, to clarify the requirements for placing children out-of-state for mental health treatment.

SUMMARY:

The amendments accomplish the following: (1) Require the behavioral health needs of children to be addressed on an ongoing basis; (2) Specify the requirements that must be met for a child to be placed outside of Florida for residential mental health treatment; (3) Establish the approval process for placing a child outside of Florida for residential mental health treatment; and (4) Specify the information that must be included in 90-day reviews.
