PURPOSE:

The rule amendments update and clarify staff training requirements in department operated and contracted delinquency programs and facilities.

SUBJECT:

The amendments address substantive training to incorporate Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) requirements.  The amendments also revise procedural requirements relating to staff training.
