PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose and effect of the proposed rule is to require officers who have completed a certified law enforcement crossover course and are currently certified to complete the Department’s 4 hour classroom training portion of the 16 hour requirement.

(b) Correctional officers who have attended and successfully completed a certified law enforcement crossover course and have their certificates of certification as law enforcement officers on file with the department will be required to complete the 4 hour classroom portion of the 16 hour
considered as meeting this training requirement. In the event there is no cross over emergency vehicle operation course, the additional department training will be required.
