The University of Florida, Purchasing and Disbursement Services will receive sealed bids for the following: ITB11MB-114, Replace Oil Switches RP4, estimated budget: $935,000, to be opened April 28, 2011, 2:00 p.m.; 101 Elmore Hall, Radio Road, Gainesville, FL.

Scope of work: The work includes all labor, equipment, and materials required to remove existing old Oil Medium Voltage (5 kV) Switchgear, and replace with new SF6 Gas Switchgear. Provide new underground conduit ductbank and primary wiring.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: 1) Concrete Switchpits specially designed to meet UF Construction Standards, which allow for heavy truck traffic loading. 2) Restoration of the Sites. 3) Working with Owner to prevent untenable Switching Scenarios. 4) Working with Owner to keep the Building Occupants powered up as much as possible.
