The University of Florida, Purchasing and Disbursement Services will receive sealed bids for the following: ITB10MB-146, Abatement of Asbestos Containing Fireproofing JHMC DSB Basement LM-4828, estimated budget: $600,000, to be opened May 18, 2010, 2:00 p.m., in 101 Elmore Hall, Radio Road, Gainesville, FL. Scope of work: The work includes all labor, equipment and materials required for removal and disposal of asbestos containing structural steel fireproofing in the basement level of the Dental Sciences Building (UF Building #0205) to be accomplished in 4 phases with spray back of the structural steel fire proofing. Total floor deck area: approximately 33,750 square feet, including the removal and disposal of 7,180 square feet of asbestos containing floor tile and mastic and disposal of asbestos contaminated ceiling tiles.
