PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of the proposed rule change is to replace the terms “gallinule” and “Florida gallinule” with “Common moorhen”. The effect will align the taxonomic nomenclature with American Ornithological Union standard.
SUMMARY: The proposed rule change would replace “gallinule” and “Florida gallinule” with “Common moorhen” to reflect a taxonomic change.
