64E-11.006: Food Equipment and Utensils
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on December 23, 2009, the Department of Health, received a petition for amendment for Variance from paragraph 64E-11.006(5)(b), and subparagraphs 64E-11.006(5)(b)1., 2. and 7., Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), from Advent Parrish Day School (Episcopal Church of the Advent), 815 Piedmont Dr., Tallahassee, Florida 32312. The amended petition was submitted to address additional concerns by the petitioner. The aforementioned sections of rule require that dishwashing machines have the specifications and manufacturer’s instructions attached to the machine, a one-forth inch IPS valve be provided immediately upstream from the final rinse control valve, and a machine or water line mounted digital or numerically scaled indicating thermometer, accurate to plus or minus 3 degrees Fahrenheit (F). The sections also require that the dishwashing machine reach temperatures of 165 degrees F for both the wash and rinse cycles or 180 degrees F for the final rinse cycle.
