NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on December 21, 2006, the Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Emergency Variance from 3002.8, 2004 Florida Building Code, requiring smoke detectors in elevator lobbies. The petition was received from Joe Roberson, President, Colony Point Association on behalf of Colony Point Condominiums located in Punta Gorda, Florida (Petition VW 2006-321).

The Bureau of Elevator Safety will accept comments concerning the Petition for 14 days from the date of publication of this notice. To be considered, comments must be received on or before 5:00 p.m.
