The Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Assessment and Restoration Support announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This is a meeting of the Florida Water Resources Monitoring Council (Monitoring Council). The role of the Monitoring Council is primarily to provide an avenue for communication and coordination among monitoring entities throughout the state of Florida to help ensure that Florida’s monitoring resources are utilized cost-effectively. This meeting will focus on a review of the Action Plan, prepared on December 18, 2008, as well as basic logistics for the Council. The Action Plan includes specific projects to develop a monitoring catalog, coordinate monitoring efforts at all levels of government and among other entities, and integrate freshwater and coastal networks.
