Overview



	The Office of Insurance Regulation announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Pursuant to Section 120.525, Florida Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Citizens Property Insurance Corporation Rate Hearing is scheduled for March 15, 2021, 9:00 a.m.

Subject:	Citizens Property Insurance Corporation has requested a statewide average rate change for its business in the Coastal Account (“CA”), Commercial Lines Account (“CLA”), and Personal Lines Account (“PLA”). These accounts include, but are not limited to, commercial property, homeowners, mobile homeowners, and dwelling/fire. The below identifies the proposed rate change that has been filed with the Office and implemented by the Company on a use and file basis: 21-003137 Homeowners Multi-Peril (PLA) +6.2% 21-003138 Homeowners Multi-Peril (CA) +7.0% 21-003742 Property/Personal (Dwelling Fire) (CA) +8.7% 21-003743 Mobile Home Multi-Peril (PLA) +9.3% 21-003751 Mobile Home Multi-Peril (CA) +9.4% 21-003976 Mobile Home Physical Damage (CA) +9.4% 21-003977 Mobile Home Physical Damage (PLA) +7.7% Additional filings received prior to the hearing may also be discussed. The effective date for the Coastal Account, Commercial Lines Account, and Personal Lines Account is August 1, 2021, for new and renewal business. An agenda listing the rate filings subject to this hearing will be posted on the Office’s website at http://www.floir.com. Florida law allows the Office of Insurance Regulation to hold a public hearing for any purpose within the scope of the Insurance Code deemed to be necessary. Input from consumers and interested parties, as well as from representatives of Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, will be received at this virtual public hearing.
