PURPOSE:

The proposed rulemaking amends rules governing the process for the resolution of reimbursement disputes between workers’ compensation carriers and health care providers, creates a rule, and repeals five rules. The major changes proposed include: adding a rule for defined terms; simplifying requirements for submission of reimbursement disputes; repealing rules related to consolidation of petitions, joint stipulations, and non-response by a carrier; and adopting revised forms.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rulemaking adds definitions; simplifies requirements for submission of reimbursement disputes; repeals rules related to consolidation of petitions, joint stipulations, and non-response by a carrier; and adopts revised forms.
