Coordinated Screening and Progress Monitoring System and Statewide, Standardized Assessment Program Requirements

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the proposed rule development is to include the writing grade-level scale scores for each achievement level for use in reporting student proficiency levels in writing as part of the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). The effect of the rule development will be the establishment of the passing score on the grade 10 FCAT in writing in order to qualify for a standard high school diploma pursuant to Section 1008.22(3)(c)5., Florida Statutes.

SUBJECT:

The inclusion of writing as part of the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT).
