PURPOSE:

The purpose of this notice is to initiate the development of a Water Quality Best Management Practices manual for Florida Cow/Calf Operations. Subsequently, the Department will initiate formal rulemaking in order to adopt these measures by rule.

SUBJECT:

The proposed rule will address the development of practices that protect water resources, the procedures for filing a Notice of Intent, and associated recordkeeping requirements necessary for producers to receive a presumption of compliance with state water quality standards.
