PURPOSE:

To incorporate requirements for protecting reserved water pursuant to Section 373.223(4), F.S. and to establish a water reservation for the Picayune Strand and Fakahatchee Estuary.

SUMMARY:

The District proposes to amend the conditions for issuance of a general water use permit to include a condition that the proposed use not withdraw reserved water. A specific amendment to the No Notice Short Term Dewatering General Water Use Permit requiring water to be retained on site is also proposed to protect reserved water.
