Eligibility Determination Process

PURPOSE:

The proposed rule amendment clarifies the Department’s eligibility processing procedures applicable to all public assistance programs. It also removes reference to the Relative Caregiver Program (RCP) as the provision has been moved to Rule 65A-4.208, F.A.C., since it is only pertinent to individuals who meet Temporary Cash Assistance eligibility factors.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule amendment provides for the use of a paper or web-based application to apply for public assistance. It also provides clarification on the Department’s eligibility determination process and removes reference to the RCP.
