PURPOSE:

The purpose of this notice is to initiate the development of a Water Quality and Quantity Best Management Practices manual for Florida Sod farms. Subsequently, the Department will initiate formal rulemaking in order to adopt these measures by rule.

SUBJECT:

The proposed rule will address the development of practices that protect water resources, the procedures for filing a Notice of Intent to Implement, and associated recordkeeping requirements necessary for landowners to receive a presumption of compliance with state water quality standards.
