Industry Certification Process (Repealed)

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this rule will be to implement requirements of Section 1003.492(2), F.S., that requires the Department to “use the expertise of Workforce Florida, Inc., and Enterprise Florida, Inc., to develop and adopt rules for implementing an industry certification process” essential to statewide implementation of the Career and Professional Education Act of 2007. This section of Florida Statutes provides that “. . .industry certification shall be defined by the Agency for Workforce Innovation, based upon the highest available national standards for specific industry certification, to ensure student skill proficiency and to address emerging labor market and industry trends.”

SUBJECT:

Industry certification for students enrolled in career academies that meet the requirements of Section 1003.493, F.S.
