PURPOSE:

The Florida Newborn Screening Program has undergone an expansion from eight to 35 disorders. As a result, the program has come into compliance with recommendations from the March of Dimes and the American College of Medical Genetics as approved by the Genetics and Newborn Screening Advisory Council.

SUMMARY:

Changes in rule reflect the disorders added to the Florida Newborn Screening Program.
