Overview

RULE:

68A-9.004

Permits for Hunting or Other Recreational Use on Wildlife Management Areas

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the proposed rule amendment is to revise Recreational User Permit (RUP) fees and quotas as requested by the landowners of privately owned Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs). The effect of the proposed rule changes will be to enable private landowners to increase the revenues generated by allowing public use of their property.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule changes as requested by the landowners would adjust the RUP fees as follows:
Blue Water Creek WMA – increase the RUP fee from $200 to $325.
Relay WMA – increase the RUP fee from $275 to $425.
Ft. McCoy WMA – increase the RUP fee from $200 to $350.
Grove Park WMA – increase the RUP fee from $325 to $475.
Twelve Mile Swamp WMA – increase the RUP fee from $425 to $525.
