PURPOSE:

The Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD) gives notice that it is initiating rulemaking for the purpose of amending its Water Shortage Plan rules to eliminate rule text that paraphrases statute; streamline noticing requirements to align with statutory requirements; clarify the water shortage plan framework; and update recommended landscape irrigation, golf course, cemetery, park, and miscellaneous water savings elements. The effect will be clear guidance for water shortage implementation.
