	The City of Sarasota announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

Subject:	LEGACY TRAIL TO BOBBY JONES TRAIL EXTENSION PRELIMINARY PROJECT DEVELOPMENT & ENVIRONMENT (PRE-PD&E) STUDY. SARASOTA, SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA The City of Sarasota will host three in-person Stakeholder Community Meetings for the Legacy Trail Network: Legacy Trail to Bobby Jones Golf Course (BJGC) Preliminary Project Development and Environment (Pre-PD&E) Study. The Pre-PD&E Study is evaluating the two proposed alignments for the connector from the current Legacy Trail to the BJGC. The first alignment involves expanding the sidewalk on the east side of Beneva Road from the existing Legacy Trail north to the Beneva Road/Fruitville Road intersection. The second alignment is located along city owned right-of-way through the Eastwoods neighborhood east of Beneva Road. A No-Build alternative without the trail connection from the current Legacy Trail to the BJGC will also be evaluated. The Stakeholder Community Meetings, which are free and in-person, will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 5:30 p.m., and Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting venue is the Veterans of Foreign Wars Sunshine Post 3233, 124 S Tuttle Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34237. Registration is not required. The Stakeholder Community Meeting materials will be available on the project website starting at 8 a.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at https://www.sarasotafl.gov/LegacyTrailBobbyJones. The public comment period will begin on December 5, 2023 and remain open through Friday, December 22, 2023. Public comments may be submitted by the following methods: 1. By obtaining a printed public comment form available at the meeting location that can be submitted by mail, email, or deposited into a comment box at the meeting location; or 2. By obtaining a printed public comment form available at Sarasota City Hall that can be submitted by mail, email, or deposited into a comment box at the Sarasota City Hall Annex Building on the First Floor adjacent to the elevators. Comment forms postmarked on December 22, 2023 will be accepted. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2023, and 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Please provide adequate time to arrive at the event to view the study materials in its entirety. There will be an opportunity to provide input via public comment forms at the meeting. These Stakeholder Community Meetings have been advertised consistent with federal and state requirements and developed in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes. The City of Sarasota solicits public participation without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.
