Minimum Surface Water Levels and Flows and Groundwater Levels

The St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

The St. Johns River Water Management District will hold a public meeting to discuss draft Wekiva Basin, Apshawa Lake South, and Sylvan Lake Minimum Flows and Levels (MFLs) evaluations.  District staff will present an overview of the work completed to date, the draft proposed statuses for the MFL waterbodies, and next steps. The meetings are being conducted before peer review of the Wekiva Basin and Apshawa Lake South MFLs to gain valuable feedback from stakeholders in the region. The Sylvan Lake draft MFLs have already undergone peer review but will also be reviewed at this meeting.

The meeting will be held at the Wekiwa Springs State Park Recreation Hall. The meeting can be attended in person or viewed online by webinar. The meeting is free to attend, and on-line attendees can access from a computer, tablet, or smartphone in listen only mode – no comments will be received from the online audience. Following the presentation, verbal questions and comments will be received from those attending in person. The SJRWMD requests that all questions and comments, including those received in person, be submitted in writing via email to asutherl@sjrwmd.com.  Comments or questions concerning the materials presented at this meeting will be received through December 15, 2023.
