Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, August 17, 2023, 12 p.m. (CDT)

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has new information concerning the U.S. 98 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study from County Road (C.R.) 30A near Sandestin to west of the Phillips Inlet Bridge in Walton County. The intent of this study is to evaluate increasing capacity on U.S. 98 by widening approximately 19.4 miles of roadway from four to six lanes. This study will also provide intersection and operational improvements, and address existing safety issues along the corridor. This information provides interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed improvements. Maps, drawings, and other project information will be available for review starting Thursday, August 17, 2023, 12 p.m. (CDT), at www.nwflroads.com/virtualmeetings. FDOT representatives are available to discuss the proposed improvements, answer questions, and receive comments via telephone, email, or U.S. Mail. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
