Definitions

SPECIFIC REASONS FOR FINDING AN IMMEDIATE DANGER TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY OR WELFARE:

Pursuant to Chapter 2023-043, § 5, Laws of Florida, the Department is required to adopt emergency rules to implement section 408.824, Florida Statutes, and need not make findings of an immediate danger to the public, health, safety, or welfare.

REASON FOR CONCLUDING THAT THE PROCEDURE IS FAIR UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES:

The Department of Health is directed by Chapter 2023-043, § 5, Laws of Florida, to adopt emergency rules to implement section 408.824, Florida Statutes.

SUMMARY:

This emergency rule implements section 408.824, Florida Statutes, providing definitions related to the standards for the appropriate use of facial coverings by health care practitioners and health care providers.
