Excellence in Home Health

PURPOSE:

The Agency is proposing to create a new rule within Ch. 59A-8, F.A.C., to implement the provisions of HB 607 (L.O.F. 2020-9) as it relates to Excellence in Home Health.  Section 400.52, F.S., was created to establish the Excellence in Home Health Program. The program designates awards to well-performing home health agencies based on survey performance and other criteria.

SUMMARY:

Rule 59A-8.0248 will outline guidelines for the Excellence in Home Health award designation.  This rule establishes the award application form and processing timeframe; standards related to patient and client care satisfaction; employee training and retention; enforcement history; and Medicaid requirements.
