REPORTING SAFE DEPOSIT BOX CONTENTS

PURPOSE:

Section 717.117(1), F.S., provides that every person holding funds or other property, tangible or intangible, presumed unclaimed and subject to custody as unclaimed property under this chapter shall report to the department on such forms as the department may prescribe by rule. The Division of Unclaimed Property has adopted Form DFS-UP-155 to be used to report the contents of a safe deposit box.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule amendment will update Form DFS-UP-155.
