PURPOSE:

Proposed changes to 5E-13.021, F.A.C., will alphabetize, update terms, and refine definitions for key words used in the rule. Proposed changes to sections 5E-13.022, 5E-13.027, 5E-13.030 and 5E-13.031, F.A.C., will update required documents necessary for mosquito control programs seeking state approval and/or aid, document filing deadlines, and administration of state funding. The Department is seeking input from stakeholders on proposed changes to 5E-13.032, F.A.C., Program Directors, Employment and Classification. Discussion is sought related to the qualifications necessary for an individual to serve as a Director. Proposed changes to 5E-13.036, F.A.C., will add language allowing programs to conduct adulticide applications in response to notifications of suspected arboviral activity from the Florida Department of Health without documenting a demonstrable increase of mosquito activity. Proposed creation of 5E-13.0332, F.A.C., will adopt forms pertinent to inspections of pesticides and mosquito control facilities.
