62-737.150

Applicability and Exemptions

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this rulemaking is to update the federal regulation citation to the current version. Chapter 62-737, F.A.C., contains rules for the management of spent mercury-containing lamps and devices destined for recycling. To maintain consistency with federal regulations and the Hazardous Waste rules in Chapter 62-730, F.A.C, it is necessary to update the citation to federal rule 40 CFR Part 273, adopted by reference and revised as of July 1, 2017, to the currently adopted July 1, 2020 version of 40 CFR Part 273.
OTHER RULES INCORPORATING THIS RULE: 62-737.400.
EFFECT ON THOSE OTHER RULES: To clarify the federal requirements for management of spent universal waste lamps and devices.
