Out-of-Hospital Birth Adverse Incident Reporting

PURPOSE:

To provide for physician, nurse midwives, and licensed midwives reporting of adverse incidents associated with planned out-of-hospital births as defined in section 456.0495, F.S., pursuant to recently enacted legislation.

SUMMARY:

This rulemaking provides a form and process for physicians, nurse midwives and licensed midwives to report adverse incidents associated with planned out-of-hospital births.
