Electronic File Reporting Relating to Vote-by-Mail Ballot Request Information and Early Voting Activity

PURPOSE:

The amendment to this rule results from Ch. 2017- 45, Laws of Fla., which permitted a voter whose vote-by-mail ballot is returned with a mismatched signature to cure the defective ballot in the same manner when the vote-by-mail ballot is returned with no signature. Form DS-DE 145 is amended to establish a file format specification for supervisors of elections to use when a ballot is returned with a mismatched signature.

SUBJECT:

Electronic file reporting concerning vote-by-mail ballots when returned with signatures that do not match the signature on record.
