Assessment of English Language Learners

PURPOSE:

Update language to clarify that the English Language Learners’ (ELLs) entry date for the English Language Arts (ELA) assessment exemption is the Date Entered a United States School (DEUSS).

SUMMARY:

The revision clarifies that an ELL’s Date Entered a United States School identifies eligibility for an exemption from the ELA assessment.
