Overview



	The The Florida Building Commission, “The Commission”, announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Between April 1, 2016 through April 15, 2016. See below calendar for specific dates.

PLACE:	For meeting times and locations, please see calendar below. All meetings to be conducted in person.

Subject:	The purpose of these meetings is to accept public input and to provide recommendations on the proposed code changes for the update to the 6th Edition (2017) Florida Building Code and local technical amendments, as applicable. Please see listed below all meeting dates, times and locations. The following Technical Advisory Committees (TAC’s) will meet Week 1: Northwood Centre, Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Florida Building Commission, Office of Codes and Standards, 1940 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32399. For directions please call (850) 487-1824 Special Occupancy TAC, Friday, April 1, 2016, 9:00AM – until completion The following Technical Advisory Committees (TAC’s) will meet Week 2: The Gainesville Hilton at UF – 1714 SW 34th Street, Gainesville, Florida 32607. For reservations please call (352) 371-3600 or (800) HILTONS. Cut-off date for reservations at special room rate is March 4, 2016. Electrical TAC and Swimming TAC will meet concurrently, Monday, April 4, 2017 at 8:00am – 5:00pm with a scheduled lunch break. Roofing TAC, Tuesday and Wednesday, April 5-6, 2016 at 8:00am – 5:00pm with a scheduled lunch break both days. Fire TAC, Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 8:00am- 12:00Noon or until completion. No scheduled meetings on Friday, due to travel. The following Technical Advisory Committees (TAC’s) and Commission will meet Week 3: The Gainesville Hilton at UF – 1714 SW 34th Street, Gainesville, Florida 32607. For reservations please call (352) 371-3600 or (800) HILTONS. Cut-off date for reservations at special room rate is March 11, 2016. Energy TAC, Monday, April 11, 2016 at 8:00am – 5:00pm with a scheduled lunch. The Commission Plenary Session will meet Tuesday morning, April 12, 2016 at 8:00am – 12:00 Noon. Code Administration TAC, Tuesday afternoon, April 12, 2016, 1:30pm – 5:00pm. Plumbing TAC, Wednesday morning, April 13, 2016, 8:00am – 12:00 Noon. Mechanical TAC, Wednesday afternoon, April 13, 2016 at 1:30pm – 5:00pm. Structural TAC, Thursday and Friday, April 14-15, 2016 at 8:00am – 5:00pm, with a lunch break scheduled both days.
