RULE:

61D-6.004	Prohibited Devices, Medications, and Procedures; Exceptions (Transferred)
61D-6.005	Procedures for Collecting Samples from Racing Animals (Repealed)
61D-6.006	Procedures Relating to Split Samples (Transferred)
61D-6.008	Permitted Medications for Horses (Transferred)
61D-6.011	Racing Horse Drug and Substance Classification System and Penalty Schedule (Transferred)

PURPOSE:

The purpose and effect of the proposed rules will be to implement Florida Statutes pertaining to the control, supervision, and direction of parties conducting, and operating racetracks and races held in this state, and the use of medication or drugs on a horse.

SUBJECT:

The proposed rules address restricted and prohibited medications administered to horses, the taking and testing of samples from racing animals both during and out of competition, and the penalties for drug or medication violations in horses.
