PURPOSE:

The purpose of this rule development is to conform to new provisions of Sections: 39.013, 39.6013, 39.701, 409.145, 409.1451, 409.175, and 409.903 and created sections 39.6035 and 39.6251, Florida Statutes, which were amended and created during the 2013 Legislative Session. The effect will be to create a new system of care for young adults age 18-21 who wish to remain or reenter care.

SUBJECT:

The creation of this chapter will address continuing jurisdiction over young adults 18-21 years old who wish to remain in care, the services to which these young adults are entitled, and the manner in which those services must be provided, including an appeal procedure for program applicants.
