PURPOSE:

The rule amendments are to clarify and update Progressive Action Response (PAR) training requirements, and to make the rule conform with Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards.

SUBJECT:

PAR training requirements, including annual training for staff, instructor qualifications and certification requirements are addressed.  References to PREA are included.
