6A-1.039

Supplemental Educational Services in Title I Schools (Repealed)

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the rule development is to consider amendments to the requirements for approval to become a provider of supplemental educational services (SES).  Proposed changes include limiting the student to teacher ratio, limiting the length of individual tutoring sessions and providing for a minimum number of hours of tutoring that must be provided.  The proposal also includes non-substantive changes that move requirements to be approved from the application form to the main rule text.  In addition, the proposal updates Form SES 100 for the 2013-2014 school year.  Additional areas to be considered include definitions to be used for SES, requirements for the provision of SES, and the period of ineligibility to provide services.
