59B-17.001

Diabetes Outpatient Self-Management Training and Educational Services Standards

PURPOSE:

The Rule adopts standards for diabetes outpatient self-management educational services provided by health maintenance organizations and health insurers.

SUBJECT:

Per 627.6408(3) F.S., 627.6574(3) F.S., and 641.31(26)(c) F.S., "The Agency for Health Care Administration shall adopt standards for diabetes outpatient self-management training and educational services, taking into consideration standards approved by the American Diabetes Association".
