Exceptional Student Education Eligibility for Students with Dual Sensory Impairments

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the rule development is to ensure consistency with federal requirements, State Board of Education rules and current practice in the field.

SUBJECT:

State requirements for programs for students with disabilities who are identified as dual-sensory impaired. Definitions, procedures for referral, procedures for student evaluation, criteria for eligibility, and re-evaluation will all be addressed.
