RULE:

69K-16.0001

State Examination for Funeral Industry Professionals

PURPOSE:

This rulemaking action implements the requirement in Chapter 497, F.S., that applicants for funeral director, embalmer, and direct disposer licenses take and pass an examination on local, state, and federal laws and rules relating to the disposition of dead human bodies. The rule specifies how to apply for the examination. The rule specifies the content and weighting of the examination. The rule specifies the fee for the examination. This proposed rule was approved by the Board of Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services at its monthly meeting on December 2, 2010.
