Statewide Uniform Weighted Grading System in Honors and Articulated Accelerated Courses

PURPOSE:

During the 2026 Legislative Session, s. 1003.437, F.S., was amended with House Bill 1279, Education. The statute requires the Florida Department of Education to establish a statewide uniform weighted grading system for honors courses and articulated acceleration mechanisms identified in s. 1007.27, F.S. This rule will align with s. 1003.437, F.S., to establish a statewide uniform weighted grading system for honors and articulated accelerated courses.

SUMMARY:
