6M-8.301

Statewide Provider Contract for the Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Program

PURPOSE:

Section 1002.73(1), F.S., requires the department to adopt by rule a standard statewide provider contract to be used with each Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program provider, with standardized attachments by provider type. The rule establishes the statewide VPK contract for private providers and school districts and adopts incorporated forms by reference.

SUMMARY:

The rule is amended to update references to the incorporated forms for consistency, update the form dates and remove language that directs individuals to the department for copies of the incorporated forms. Additionally, rule forms are amended to revise specific paragraphs of the statewide provider contract pertaining to contract terms, provider deliverables, accountability provisions, indemnification and contract exhibit.
