Requirements for the Florida Seal of Fine Arts

PURPOSE:

This rule amends the criteria for a student to earn the Seal of Fine Arts on a standard high school diploma. The purpose of this amendment is to expand eligibility criteria for a student to earn the Seal of Fine Arts to include an Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) course as able to meet one criterion. This amendment is based on changes from the 2025 Legislative session in House Bill 1105 (Chapter No. 2025-109, Laws of Florida).

SUMMARY:

The successful completion of an Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) course with a grade of “B” or higher in dance, music, theatre or the visual arts will be a way to meet the advanced course option to earn the Florida Seal of Fine Arts.
