1S-5.026

Post-Election Certification Voting System Audit

PURPOSE:

The proposed rule is to implement Section 8 of Chapter 2007-30, Laws of Florida, which becomes effective July 1, 2008. The law requires a county or other local canvassing board to conduct after certification of an election a manual public audit of a voting system, publicize the results, and submit an audit report to the Department of State This rule is required to provide the necessary uniform procedures for conducting the manual audit including providing a format for the audit report.
