PURPOSE:

The revised rule in Rule 25-9.001, F.A.C., clarifies what rules apply to local exchange telecommunications companies. The revised rule in Rule 25-9.034, F.A.C., would expressly provide that the rule does not apply to agreements entered into by telecommunications companies. This would limit the scope of the rule to the regulated entities, such as electric and water industries. The revision in Rule 25-9.044, F.A.C., would state that the rule only applies to rate-of-return regulated local exchange telecommunications companies. Docket No. 080159-TP.
