RULE:

6A-5.065

The Florida Educator Accomplished Practices

PURPOSE:

To set forth in rule Florida’s core standards for effective educators. The accomplished practices form the foundation for the state’s teacher preparation programs, educator certification requirements and school district instructional evaluation systems

SUMMARY:

The rule will be updated to reflect new statutory requirements outlined in House Bill 1557, effective July 1, 2022, and align additional language about the state academic standards. Effective educator practices will be expanded to include the creation of a classroom environment where students can demonstrate resiliency and promote critical thinking, as well as clarification that the professional and ethical conduct of an educator includes parental notification.
